The Dream Conduit empowers creatives to follow their passions and make a life-long career out of their creativity. We want to live in a world that affords creatives the liberty to dream, with far more beauty as a result, and one that ensures creativity is recognized, rewarded, and allowed to flourish.

Who is The Dream Conduit trying to help?

Creatives of every craft. From painters to digital artists, from musicians to writers, from video-editors to film-makers, and everyone within and without. All creative pursuits add beauty to the world. These creators should be rewarded, if for no other reason than they make the world more beautiful. But they also really deserve it.

How can The Dream Conduit help creatives?

Inspiration, education, and guidance. The Dream Conduit has 6 rooms a week on Clubhouse and Twitter Spaces facilitating conversations around novel NFT topics.

Attendees are recognized as Dreamers with Certificate NFTs which allow them to request 1-on-1’s with each of the Conduit Leads to help refine specifics around individual NFT strategies. Live drop parties for Dreamers can also be requested.

We also offer Masterclasses on our Discord teaching anyone how to make different kinds of art, perform technical analysis, learn practical blockchain walkthroughs, and answer any and all questions. All of it for free, always.

How can The Dream Conduit benefit non-creatives?

By offering the ideal sandbox to learn about NFTs and blockchain technology while contributing towards a charitable cause. Donations to The Dream Conduit go towards enabling creatives to access opportunities and succeed, and are recognized with NFTs that are called Badges. These Badges begin The Giving Game, which costs nothing to engage with as all fees are covered by The Dream Conduit, and can teach anyone about NFTs, DAOs, and blockchain technology.

Do we have to pay for The Dream Conduit’s services?

The Dream Conduit’s services are always available at no cost to the creative. Furthermore, all blockchain actions performed with The Dream Conduit’s NFTs are sponsored by The Dream Conduit, meaning no fees are ever incurred by users and every action taken by anyone in the network is carbon-offset. Donations are always welcome though and help us do ever greater things. <3

Conduits are individual divisions of The Dream Conduit with mission-oriented approaches towards helping creatives succeed in the NFT space. 4 exist so far; the Coaching, Curation, Narrative, and Sovereignty Conduits, all lead by experts in their fields with the highest ethical standards.

Why is The Dream Conduit built on Polygon?

To enable the free transfer of NFTs as part of The Giving Game, to enable offsetting of all The Dream Conduit’s carbon emissions, and to allow all votes to be recorded on the blockchain in perpetuity.

As a nonprofit, we depend on contributions made by kind-hearted people around the world that want to increase the amount of beauty around us.

As a certified non-profit organization awaiting final approval of its 501(c)3 status, The Dream Conduit can recognize these contributions with tax deductions once approval is received, as well as with Badge NFTs that can lead to governance potential in The Dream Conduit by playing The Giving Game.

What is The Dream Conduit’s Giving Game?

The Dream Conduit recognizes contributions with Badge NFTs which can be sent to others. If a donor does that, they’ll automatically receive a Collectible NFT in their wallet. We call that The Giving Game. Badges received from someone else can be exchanged for Conduit Coins which can be used to purchase special perks on The Dream Conduit’s website in the near future.

Where do donations to The Dream Conduit go?

All donations made to The Dream Conduit are allocated according to our Donation Distribution Policy. 40% goes towards campaigns that enable us to help more creatives, 20% goes to team compensation and is capped monthly per person, 30% is split equally between recurring and non-recurring expenses, and 10% goes to the artist that makes the artwork for the Collectible. In essence, 50% to the community and 50% to cover costs.

Donating to The Dream Conduit helps us expand our reach and uplift more creatives around the world. Donations also help The Dream Conduit offer more free services to creatives, enabling them to reach greater heights. Donations are also recognized with Badges that have governance potential, as well as with full tax deductions retroactively once final 501(c)3 approval has been received.

How can I get a Badge?

Every 25$ worth of donations is recognizable with a Badge NFT. Donating in ETH grants these automatically. Donations in fiat are also accepted through Donorbox where an email address must be included to claim a Badge. Large donations can be handled seperately via wire transfer or transfer of other cryptocurrencies by first communicating with an authorized member of The Dream Conduit team.

How is The Dream Conduit governed?

Members of The Dream Conduit’s board of directors are electable and impeachable by the community. A vote is every unique pair of one Certificate and one Collectible held in a single wallet. This implementation creates checks and balances between Dreamers and donors and is intended to prevent centralization.

The Dream Conduit has taken the extremely unconventional approach of removing the “Founder” role which would have final say over everything a non-profit does- a role that exists by default in other U.S. nonprofits. Since there are no owners of a non-profit, this puts us in the unique position of the world’s first non-profit DAO.

How is The Dream Conduit a democratic nonprofit?

Collectible NFTs donors receive can be paired up with Certificate NFTs given by The Dream Conduit to participants in Conduit rooms. Every unique pairing of these two NFTs is a vote in the DAO. Members of the board of directors serve terms of 3 years with one third of the board being available for elections every year.

What does being the “first non-profit, carbon neutral DAO” mean?

The Dream Conduit is a non-profit registered in Delaware, USA. Being a DAO means we rely on blockchain technology to fully democratize and decentralize decision-making. We’re the first non-profit to even attempt this. Finally, the carbon footprint of all of our blockchain activities are tracked by Aerial, who we pay to offset our carbon emissions.

What is a crypto wallet?

Basically, a cryptocurrency wallet is a program or device that anyone can use to receive or transfer cryptocurrency, or perform blockchain transactions like minting an NFT. Different crypto wallets store different cryptocurrencies, so always be certain to send cryptocurrency to a wallet that supports it.

What is a public key and a private key?

A public key is an address anyone can use to send a cryptocurrency to a specific wallet. Every wallet has a public key that can be safely shared with anyone. When sending cryptocurrency, make certain the wallet address you’re sending crypto to supports that cryptocurrency.

A private key is a set of 12 or 24 words that can be used to access a specific crypto wallet from a different wallet provider or device. This should never be shared with anyone as it is the only thing needed to access a wallet and the funds inside. A private key should always be written on a piece of paper, and stored in a very safe place.

What are some best practices to stay safe in crypto?

Never share your private key with anyone or keep any digital copies of it. Always double-check a link before you click it. Never click any links or download any files you receive in DMs unless until you’ve verified the person you’re speaking to. Never mint an NFT on a website no-one’s speaking about or for which the smart contract hasn’t been determined to be safe; you’re not ahead of everyone else and it’s most likely a scam.

What is the difference between a coin and a token?

Generally, a coin is the native currency for a particular cryptocurrency network. It’s the currency that makes that network run. Tokens are currencies that can be built on top of certain networks like programs, and can have a wide range of uses and specifications.

What is an NFT?

A Non-Fungible Token (NFT) is a unique token that exists on a blockchain and often represents ownership of an underlying asset (but not necessarily the IP). NFTs can come with exclusive access to events or communities and/or other priveleges which are referred to as “utility.” NFTs can best be pictured as certificates that signify ownership of digital or physical assets, similar to titles and deeds for cars and houses in the real world.

What is a smart contract?

A smart contract is the name given to a program on a blockchain. These programs can be coded with programming languages similar to those used for classic applications. Smart contracts can be created to deploy practically any idea to a public blockchain that anyone can see and interact with. These can be used to create NFTs, DAOs, and even more complex implementations like decentralizing finance.

What is a metaverse?

A metaverse is a virtual, open-world environment in which people are able to gather and exchange value through NFTs and blockchain technology. Land in a metaverse is often an NFT itself that grants the owner the right to build whatever they want on top of it. NFTs can also be worn as clothes and full-body avatars in most metaverses.

What is a DAO?

A Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) is a community using blockchain technology to collectively govern the organization. DAOs operate programmatically based on parameters defined with smart contracts on the blockchain, and leverage these components to exist in perpetuity through decentralized and democratized decision-making.

Web3 is the new internet paradigm we are moving into, facilitated by blockchain technology and defined by the ability to participate in communities and realize the value generated as a result. It is further characterized by the seamless and transparent transfer of value, the ability to verify digital ownership, and the permissionless opportunities available to all types of participants.

What are gas fees?

Gas fees are the costs that must be paid to the network when performing blockchain transactions. Gas fees essentially act as payments for the space on the blockchain that a transaction takes. Since space in every block is limited, when a lot of people want to perform transactions at once, gas fees on the network go up as the limited space available is auctioned to the highest bidder (i.e. the people willing to pay the highest gas fees).
